Accepting Resumes from JIW for Weld SHop Instructor

Iron Workers Local 396 Joint Apprneticeship Committee will accept resumes from Journeyman Ironworkers interested in becoming a welding/shop instructor for Local 396's apprnticeship program. The welding/shop instructor will be required to teach welding and burning theory along with proctoring welding tests. A Certified Welding Inspector's (CWI) certificate will be required within the first year of employment. The weld/shop instructor will also be involved with the structural, reinforcing, instruments, blueprints, rigging, cranes adn hands on training along with Journeyman upgrade classes. Instructors will attend yearly training in July to attain certification to teach all necessary classes including MSHA, First Aid, OSHA 30, and Sub Part "R".
